* Any pet races that have other effects in other game modules will only be valid and updated in this document.

3. Rarity

* Pet rarity will be set on-chain and will never change.

### Pet Level & Evolution

{% hint style="info" %}
Pet level can be raised by getting the pet's XP. Higher-level pets will increase the [mining speed per hour](/eternals-core/eternals-space/mining-tower.md#production-rate).

-> The higher the level, the higher the speed - which can leverage the gamer's ranking on the leaderboard.
{% endhint %}

1. **Pet Leveling**

Leveling Mechanic:

* By achieving a certain amount of XP. Pets will automatically level up
* If a pet reaches a certain level, it can evolve. The level required for evolution depends on the pet's rarity.

Getting Pet XP:

{% hint style="info" %}
The sole source of XP comes from the training feature.

Training will help level up the pet. However, there will be a resting time of **4 hours** between the training sessions for each pet.

Make sure they are fully relaxed and happy!
{% endhint %}

* The training feature currently has 2 mini-games, both of which grant the pets XP: Rope jumping, Math rush
* To train your pet, you need to consume an item.

Rope

Mathboard

Rope Jumping

* To gain the pet's XP player needs to put the pet in training. Each training session will give the pet a different amount of XP, depending on the player’s skills

Training Completed Notification

2. **Evolution: Coming Soon**

When taking care of pets, users can raise their pets’s value by evolving them to higher evolution.

To evolve pets, the player must level them to the required level and consume the needed item (Common Pets can not be evolved).

{% hint style="info" %}
In the upcoming release, the evolution feature **WILL NOT GO LIVE**. This feature will be released in the near future.
{% endhint %}
