You can consider this as normal Getting Started blog, where you begin your exciting journey in Gomoku.

So, what is Gomoku?

Gomoku (Caro) is a classic strategy board game where players win by placing five consecutive markers in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line. This game of tactical thinking and spatial awareness has delighted players for generations.

In short, Gomoku is Eternals' Caro game version. Where you can play both good old-fashioned classic Caro or Eternal-version Caro

Sounds great, how can I get started?

First, you must login to Gomoku to start playing.

You can login as a Guest to try out our gameplay. But we highly recommend login with wallet or social account to fully experience our features and save your progress.

• If you want to create new wallet/ restore existing wallet? Check out Login with Wallet

Once done, you can play Quick Match and/or complete tasks in Missions.

Could you please walk me through the gameplay?

Of course! Besides our first-timer tutorial, you can read briefly about our gameplay here.

Gomoku, at its core, is a Caro game where you can compete with other players. We recommend you to try out:

• Quick Match - Classic Mode. That is the closest to your familiar, old-fashioned Caro game

• If you have Eternals Pet NFT in your wallet? Please try out Quick Match - Eternians Mode. Make sure to read What to prepare for Eternians mode? before playing

After you have been proficient with the game, you can compete in Ranking Match and meet mightier enemies.

What to prepare for Eternians mode?

In order to compete in Eternians mode, you must have at least 1 Eternals Pet NFT in your wallet, and have assigned your pet in Battle Deck.

How to earn more Ranking Points?

By completing your Missions, keeping Daily Login, and win more in Ranking Match, of course. But besides that, Mastery Points and Win Streak also have positive correlation with the Ranking Points you will receive after each match. So do your best to max out those numbers as well.

How can I earn rewards from playing games?

You need to earn more ranking points, which then allow you to be eligible for Lucky Pool and Top Ranking Pool - of which rewards are tokens.

To sum up, your journey pretty much looks like this

Login, compete in Quick Match (and do some Missions). Repeat until you get the hang of it and get ready for more formidable enemies (and rewards)

Earn tickets, then compete in Ranking Match. Face powerful opponents, lose, lose, lose,... cry a little, in secret. Realize you are not competent enough, ticket gone out, go back to Quick Match to train more.

Repeat steps above until you win some Ranking Match. Win some more, even have Win Streak and see Mastery Point increases as well. See yourself eligible for Lucky Pool. Win even more, see your name in Leaderboard, cry (in happiness)

Try to stay in Leaderboard until season ends, reap rewards, have yourself a cocktail!

Between those steps, make sure to complete your Missions (both daily and permanent) and get your rewards from Daily Login. Make sure to add more powerful pets to your line-up to enhance your win odds in Eternians Mode too!
